Jorinde Van Klinken, a senior at Arizona State representing the Netherlands, rallied to repeat as winner of the women's discus throw with a fifth-round performance of 203-11 (62.16m) at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Van Klinken became the first female collegiate athlete since Texas A&M's Shelbi Vaughan in 2014-15 to secure back-to-back titles and the only competitor in Arizona State history to achieve the feat. She also placed second in the shot put with a mark of 60-11.50 (18.58m).
